Concert Recordings & Photography
Concerts may be recorded for private or commercial use, subject to the appropriate charges and completion of the Hall’s relevant Declaration Form.
Private recordings must not be put to commercial use without negotiation with the Director and agreement of the appropriate fee.
Audio recordings
The Hall provides an in-house recording service. The service comprises:
- • Balancing
- • Recording
- • Recording Equipment
- • Mastering and editing of the concert performance
On completion, the artist/promoter will be supplied with the CD-R master. Additional copies can be made at an extra cost. For more information please email the Studio Manager or call on +44(0)20 7258 8216
Third-party recording companies or engineers should be chosen from a recommended list available from the Management Office. When a third-party recording company is hired, Wigmore Hall does not provide recording equipment.
Filming
Filming your concert requires a minimum of three months’ notice in writing as seats may need to be taken off sale.
All filming must be taken from a pre-arranged, fixed position in the auditorium; the operator is not permitted to move around the auditorium during the concert.
Photography
Only available to those who have performed at Wigmore Hall. Photography is only permitted with advance permission from the Hall Management. If permission is granted, a charge will be made.
Photographs are forbidden during the performance. Photographs may only be taken during audience applause immediately prior to the concert, interval or at the end of the concert.
For costs and further details on recordings and photography in the Hall, please email the Management Office or call +44 (0)20 7258 8200
