Biography
Adam Riis studied at the Royal Danish Academy with Bodil Gümoes.
Highlights of his career so far include Monteverdi’s Vespro Della Beate Vergine, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, St John and St Matthew Passions, Orff’s Carmina Burana and Britten’s Cantata Misericordium with orchestras such as the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Concerto Copenhagen, Malmö Symphony Orchestra and Arte dei Suonatori, conducted by Paul Hillier, Thomas Dausgaard, Vassily Sinaisky and Lars Ulrik Mortensen.
A CD of songs by the contemporary composer Ib Nørholm with Christian Westergaard has just been released, and future releases include Heinrich Schütz’s St John Passion, Weihnachts-Historie and Die Sieben Worte Jesu Christi with Concerto Copenhagen conducted by Paul Hillier.
