Biography
Mary Bevan studies with Lillian Watson and Audrey Hyland at the Royal Academy Opera School. She has performed with Vladimir Ashkenazy and the ECO (Les Illuminations), the Young Songmakers’ Almanac, at the Spitalfields Festival, Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, St John’s Smith Square and St Martin-in-the-Fields. Future engagements include Barbarina in Figaro (Garsington 2010) and a recital at the Oxford Lieder Festival.
At RAM, Mary is a Kohn Bach Scholar and a member of Song Circle. She has been generously supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, the Ian Fleming Charitable Trust Education Award (MBF), the Baroness de Turkheim Award, and a Harold Wingate Scholarship.
