Overview

In a Gramophone review of his recordings of the Liszt pieces in this programme (alongside others by the composer), the Ukrainian pianist was described as ‘as vivid and characterful as he is dextrous’; while in describing another disc including the Skryabin and Prokofiev sonatas, the same publication hailed ‘a pianist to strike awe and envy into all possible rivals’.
