The European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) was established in 2004 by Hatto Beyerle, co-founder and violist of the Alban Berg Quartet. Its mission is to promote and nurture today’s aspiring chamber music ensembles. The Academy, which stands as an association of leading European music education institutions and festivals, provides ongoing training opportunities for its young ensembles and offers students an inspiring mix of theoretical tuition and practical instruction.

The ECMA Showcase has been supported by a gift from the estates of the late Thomas and Betty Elton in memory of Sigmund Elton
