The pre-eminent countertenor spends his 40th birthday inaugurating his Residency, an occasion heightened with Davies being awarded the prestigious Wigmore Medal. Few singers cover his range of activities, which include regular appearances in Baroque and contemporary opera, a wealth of repertory performed in concert and recital, and his lead role in Claire van Kampen’s play Farinelli and the King in the West End and on Broadway.
