Student ensembles for our Early Years programme

We are delighted to announce our student ensembles selected for Wigmore Hall Learning's Early Years programme this year.

For Crying Out Loud!

These talented emerging musicians from the Royal Academy of Music will each perform two concerts as part of the series, which invites parents/carers and their babies to enjoy music in an informal and accommodating environment. They will be mentored by Julian West from the Royal Academy of Music to gain further insight into programming and performing a concert for this unique audience.
The ensembles for 2017 are:

Chamber Tots

These talented student ensembles have been selected to work alongside our experienced music leaders for this season's Chamber Tots workshops, our interactive music-making sessions for children aged 1 to 5 and their parents/carers, with songs, percussion and the chance to meet some exciting instruments up close. The ensembles will be mentored by the Chamber Tots leaders and take part in a training session at the start of the project as well as evaluation and feedback sessions throughout to help them explore and develop their early years music-making experience.
The ensembles for the 2016/17 Season are:

  • Improviso, theorbo and recorder
  • Moriarty Winds, wind quintet
  • Duruflé Trio, flute, viola and piano
  • Dixit Quartet, string quartet
  • Cavendish Winds, wind quintet
