Ahead of their Mozart/Mendelssohn concerts on 3 and 4 October, Sandy Burnett talks to two members of the dynamic Jerusalem Quartet – first violinist Alexander Pavlovsky and violist Amihai Grosz as they embark on a series called Mozart Plus with violist Lawrence Power.
Their 6-concert journey consists of a selection of string quartets and quintets by Mozart, each pair of concerts placing these chamber gems in a different context. Mozart is brought into relief by Debussy and Ravel, while concerts in May include Janácek’s two quartets.
