2022 Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition
We are delighted to announce new dates in April 2022 for the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition, postponed from April 2021.
Dates: The Competition itself will take place between Tuesday 5 - Sunday 10 April 2022 inclusive. Selected quartets will be expected to arrive in London no later than Sunday 3 April 2022 and leave on Monday 11 April 2022.
Venues: the Preliminary Round will be held at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and at Wigmore Hall from Tuesday 5 - Friday 8 April, the Semi-Finals and Final at Wigmore Hall on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 April respectively. Quartets not based in the UK may also be asked to perform once outside the Competition timetable, either at a lunchtime concert or in a community setting, as part of the events surrounding the Competition.
