The Wigmore Early Music and Baroque Series has expanded considerably over the past years and we are proud to be one of the leading venues for this repertoire in Europe, presenting more than 50 concerts in the 2017/18 Season.
Due to the size of many of the ensembles and the additional instruments that often need to be hired and tuned, these concerts are amongst the most expensive that we present. We also made a significant investment in this Series with our refurbishment in 2015. The backstage facilities now provide rooms large enough for ensembles to rehearse, and the temperature can be controlled to match that on the stage: crucial for period instruments!
The investment in this Series was unquestionably worthwhile but to sustain and expand the programme further, we need your help.
Members of this Circle will collectively ensure that audiences can continue to experience the world’s leading performers of Early Music and Baroque in this optimal setting and acoustic at Wigmore Hall.
We hope that participation in the events listed below, as well as the opportunity to meet like-minded people who share your love for this music, will enhance your appreciation of the repertoire and enjoyment of coming to Wigmore Hall.
Donations will be acknowledged in all Wigmore Series brochures and concert programmes in the season as well as on the donor listing in the foyer.
