Are you a string quartet enthusiast who believes in supporting young artists at the start of their careers? Support young artists by becoming an Ambassador for the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition
The triennial Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition provides a vital public platform from which young musicians can break into the world of professional performance at the highest level.
Donations from Ambassadors make a vital contribution towards the costs of the Competition. The value of the Competition to prize-winning quartets is enormous, as it provides unique professional development opportunities in addition to cash prizes such as:
We strongly believe that the benefits of the Competition should extend beyond the main prize-winners and support from the Ambassadors helps fund development opportunities such as concert tours, coaching and masterclasses.
In return for your support as an Ambassador you will receive:
Ambassadors also have opportunities to meet participating artists and the distinguished jury, and be kept up to date with the competitors' progress after the Competition.
We welcome donations at any level and are looking for three-year commitments. You can become an Ambassador at any time - your donations will go into the fund for the next Competition (2015, 2018, 2021 and so on).
