    Overview

    The Prince Consort, founded and directed by Alisdair Hogarth, holds a special affection for Schumann. The composer’s songs featured in the ensemble’s acclaimed debut recital in 2003 and remain at the heart of its increasingly broad repertoire.

    This concert offers a chance to hear Schumann’s Spanish love songs of 1849, which he styled as ‘a cycle for one and more voices’.
