Overview
Young Czech pianist Ivo Kahánek joins the Pavel Haas Quartet to perform one of Dvorák’s greatest chamber compositions, the epic Piano Quintet in A Op. 81.
The programme also includes Smetana’s Second String Quartet, a late work invested with what its composer described as ‘the turbulence of music in a person who had lost his hearing’.
