In the decade since making his debut, Czech bass-baritone Adam Plachetka has drawn critical acclaim for his interpretations of Mozart’s operatic anti-heroes and villains.

For his Wigmore Hall debut, he turns his glorious voice and incisive dramatic imagination to this captivating programme, moving from Dvorák’s Biblical Songs, colourful settings of ten psalms, to his evocative Gypsy Songs, by way of a fine selection of Lieder by Strauss.
