Overview
The Takács Quartet presents a rare opportunity to hear its highly developed thoughts about a seminal work of the string quartet repertoire. This lecture-recital opens with a discussion of the String Quartet in F Op. 59 No. 1 ‘Razumovsky’, illustrated with excerpts from the work. The evening’s second half contains a complete performance of Beethoven’s pioneering score.
