Overview

Karen Cargill’s sonorous mezzo-soprano voice has beguiled audiences around the world ever since she won the 2002 Kathleen Ferrier Award.

She is joined for this recital by her regular duo partner, Simon Lepper, in a programme steeped in the imagery of Nature and, in the case of Wagner’s sublime Wesendonck Lieder, fuelled by the turbulent energy of love.
