Overview
Two exceptional artists known for the adventure and vitality of their music-making share the Wigmore Hall stage for this recital.
They open with the Violin Sonata in G Op. 6, a seductively Romantic composition completed in 1912 by the fifteen-year-old prodigy Erich Wolfgang Korngold, who later found fame in Hollywood. Debussy’s Violin Sonata in G minor, his final composition, explores the creative tension between contrasting musical moods.
