Overview

Innovative and fresh-sounding works from the lastcentury provide the substance of this recital, givenby three superb chamber musicians.

Stravinskyarranged a suite of movements from his theatricalpiece The Soldier’s Tale for the Swiss philanthropistand fine amateur clarinettist Werner Reinhart whosupported the original work’s composition. Theprogramme also includes Bartók’s Contrasts,strongly flavoured by Hungarian and Romanianfolk melodies.
