    Overview

    Since its foundation in 1974 the Arditti Quartet haschampioned the cause of contemporary chambermusic and given the first performances of hundredsof new compositions.

    The quartet returns to WigmoreHall with a programme filled with vivid contrasts,opening with the formidable technical demands ofBerio’s Sincronie and embracing fresh scores bySir Harrison Birtwistle and Michael Jarrell.
