    Two world premières and other works byJulian Anderson, Wigmore Hall’s Composerin Residence, supply the potent substance ofa programme that also includes Stravinsky’s Three Pieces for string quartet, one of whichwas inspired by the English music hall comedianLittle Tich, and also the London première ofJohn Woolrich’s Pluck from the Air.

    Claire Boothjoins the Nash Ensemble in Sea Drift, Anderson’sevocative setting of Walt Whitman, and Ravel’sChansons madécasses.

    Part of
