Brahms admired and championed the music ofDvořák, introducing the young Czech artist’smusic to his publisher and to influential Germancritics.

Christian Poltéra’s programme includesarrangements of the Sonatina Dvořák createdfor his two children at the end of his stay in NewYork in 1893, and the Scherzo Brahms wrote aspart of a composite work with Robert Schumannand Albert Dietrich.
