    Overview

    Six outstanding young performers from the RoyalAcademy of Music evoke the vivid images andsupernatural narratives of songs and ballads byLoewe and Liszt.

    Their programme includes Liszt’searly settings of verse by Goethe and Heine, ‘Es warein König in Thule’ and ‘Die Loreley’ among them,and Loewe’s engrossing ‘Erlkönig’, written in1817/18 during the composer’s student years.
