Raised in rural Connecticut and now resident inBrooklyn, Timo Andres was praised by Alex Rossin The New Yorker for his debut album’s ‘unhurriedgrandeur’. The young American composer wroteStrong Language for the Takács Quartet to showthat ‘longer pieces can actually be made out ofless stuff as a way of supporting the weight oftheir structures’.
