Overview

Born in the Soviet Union in 1976, Konstantin Lifschitzstudied at the famous Gnessin Special School ofMusic in Moscow. The recording of a recital hegave shortly after he graduated was nominated fora Grammy Award and helped launch his glitteringinternational career.

This programme reflects thebreadth of his pianism, ranging from Brahms’shomages to Bach and Handel, to evocative miniaturesby Couperin and Schumann.
