Joseph Horovitz, born in Vienna in May 1926, foundrefuge in Britain with his family after Hitler’s seizure ofpower in Austria. His Sonatina reflects the wonderfulinvention and imagination of his compositions.

Daniel Ottensamer’s recital also includes Zemlinsky’sFantasies on Poems of Richard Dehmel, conceivedfor solo piano in 1898 and arranged for clarinet andpiano by James Breed.
