    Over the past decade the Doric StringQuartet has established its place asone of the finest British quartets of itsgeneration, achieving the higheststandards of ensemble and refinement ineverything from mainstream repertoire tocontemporary compositions.

    The group’slatest Wigmore Hall performance openswith the last of Haydn’s Op. 64 quartets,famed for its wit and virtuosity, andincludes the world première of a workcommissioned from the outstanding Irishcomposer Donnacha Dennehy, known forthe vitality, freshness and expressivepower of his music.
