    Schnittke’s Third String Quartet has become anestablished fixture in the chamber music repertoirethanks not least to its bold allusions to works byBeethoven and tense juxtaposition of diverse stylesand influences.

    The Danish String Quartet sets theRussian composer’s work in company with twolandmarks of the Viennese Classical tradition.
