Overview
Shostakovich’s final and longest string quartet,supremely introspective and fully reconciled to theinevitability of death, offers an intimate portrait ofthe Soviet composer during his last years.
TheBelcea Quartet has programmed it together withanother fifteenth and final string quartet, Schubert’sprofound reflection on impermanence and everchangingreality.
