    Anton Arensky, best known today for his D minorPiano Trio, dedicated the second of his two stringquartets to the memory of Tchaikovsky and builtone of its movements around his late friend’s‘Legend’ from Children’s Songs.

    The ApollonMusagète Quartet prefaces Arensky’s impassionedcomposition with Haydn’s evergreen ‘Lark’ Quartet.
