Overview
By the time young Schubert created his StringQuartet in E flat in 1813, the teenager had alreadycompleted nine other works for string quartet.
The Hagen Quartet presents the composer’s tunefulearly piece in company with Beethoven’s finalcomplete quartet and Schubert’s ‘Death and theMaiden’, a shattering confrontation with despair andhuman suffering.
