Overview
Once self-described in three words as ‘mercurial, stoical and giggly’, Tansy Davies’smusic jolts and pulses, with a rhythmical, almost mechanical, edge. She drawson inspiration from architecture, often using the orchestra to build her structures, and it is this way of thinking that creates new worlds, bridging contemporaryidioms such as jazz and rock.
This study day will feature chamber music and songs personally selected by thecomposer for performance by the students from the RNCM.
