Inspired by the diasporic communities of Amsterdam,known as the ‘Jerusalem of the North’ not leastbecause of its vast Sephardic synagogue, the‘Esnoga’, The English Concert sets out to explorethe fusion of cultures and the haunting beauty ofJewish musical life and creativity in the seventeenthand eighteenth centuries.
