    Overview

    In 1795 Beethoven concluded his formal studies inVienna, made his debut in his new home city as apianist and saw the publication of his Op. 1 pianotrios.

    The Gould Piano Trio conjures up the brillianceof the Op. 1 set’s first piece and the popular ‘Kakadu’Variations of 1794, together with the genial E flat triofrom the summer of 1808.
