Overview
Although written for George Bridgetower, theexceptionally gifted Polish-born son of a West Indianfather, Beethoven dedicated his Op. 47 to the Frenchcomposer and violinist Rudolphe Kreutzer followingwhat Bridgetower recalled as ‘a silly quarrel abouta girl’.
