Overview
Mendelssohn projected his youthful geniusinto the String Quintet in A Op. 18, a workinfluenced by the form and instrumentationof Mozart’s string quintets.
Steven Isserlisand friends also perform the composer’sC minor Piano Trio and impassioned SecondCello Sonata, the brilliant product of a yearof personal upheaval.
