The 2018 Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition is the fourteenth edition of this prestigious Competition, and a celebration of the art of the string quartet, attracting the leading ensembles from around the globe.
Each of the twelve selected ensembles presents two, contrasting recital programmes, including cornerstones of the repertoire.
The first recital consists of Haydn alongside The Four Quarters by Thomas Adés, and the second recital includes a late Mozart work paired with any major quartet written between 1918 and 1999.
