    Overview

    The Heath Quartet opens with pieces from Bach’s Little Organ Book, which flow into Jörg Widmann’s Choralquartett, with its ghostly, disruptive mix of sound and silence. This performance is the latest in the Jörg Widmann series, showcasing compositions by the exciting clarinettist.

    Schoenberg’s richly chromatic Verklärte Nacht, a symphonic poem for string sextet, completes this compelling programme.

    The Wigmore Hall Bar will be open after the concert for more late night Jazz and drinks. Free with your ticket, Jazz pianist Matt Redman will be performing from 11:00PM.
