Overview
Formed in 1995, the Australianquartet is named after theRomanian-born Australianchamber music enthusiast RichardGoldner. Here it joins with itspianist compatriot for Webern’sBrahmsian slow movement (1905)and Korngold’s 1921 quintet –an example of his lavish late-Romanticism.
