Joining the pre-eminent Lieder interpreter for a traversal of thefirst of Schubert’s great cycles, the Italian-Dutch pianist won theSalzburg International Mozart Competition in 2016 and made herdebut at the Musikverein in Vienna the following year. Composedin 1823, The Fair Maid of the Mill shows Schubert’s mastery of thecombination of lyricism with narrative in full flower.
