    Overview

The Royal Northern College of Music and Wigmore Hallare delighted to present a day of music to celebrate thework of composer Sir George Benjamin. Benjamin istruly one of the musical giants of our time, composingmusic that must be heard live. The visceral quality ofthe music he creates absorbs the listener in constantlyshifting layers of sound, from the startling to thetouching and from the virtuosic to the beautifully simple.

Following on from performances in Manchester in January, this study day features solo, chamber and orchestral worksperformed by students from the RNCM.
