Joined by Garrick Ohlsson, who plays some rarely heard piano pieces, the Takács players explore the admired Piano Quintet (1907) by Amy Beach, an American late-Romantic composer whose work is steadily, if belatedly, coming to the fore, and the energetic example written by Elgar some 10 years later.
