    Overview

    Trevor Pinnock directs the Royal Academy of Music Soloists Ensemble, who are joined for this collaboration by students from Toronto’s Glenn Gould School. This concert features the UK premiere of Józef Koffler’s remarkable arrangement of the Goldberg Variations, completed in 1938. Scored for small orchestra, the version is largely unknown, surprisingly so given the ubiquity of Bach’s keyboard original.
