The leading Hungarian violinistwas the First Prize winner ofthe Paganini and the JacquesThibaud International ViolinCompetitions before settling inthe UK in 1961. Since his Londondebut at Wigmore Hall in 1962, hehas travelled the world to performwith renowned orchestras andconductors, boasting a wide, richrepertoire and several award-winningrecordings to his name.Now retired from performing,he gives masterclasses atmusic academies and festivalsinternationally. Today, György willbe working with violin-piano duosand piano trios from London’smusic colleges.
