The members of the SilesianString Quartet are graduates ofthe Karol Szymanowski Academyof Music in Katowice and havepremièred more than 100 works,many of them Polish. Here theychampion Szymanowski’s partlyfolk-influenced Second Quartet(1927) and Grażyna Bacewicz’sneoclassical Fourth (1942).
