Overview
Founded in Milan in 2008, the Italian Baroquespecialist ensemble made its successful Wigmoredebut in 2016. Handel’s earliest setting of the storyof Acis, Galatea and Polyphemus was composedfor Naples in June 1708, during his vitallyimportant Italian period, when the style to whichhis music would largely adhere for the remainderof his career was essentially formed.
