    Overview

Featuring an entirely Baroque programme, Ensemble Marsyas, under the director and founder, Peter Whelan, will cover works by Handel, Barsanti, Arne and Thomas Erskine, 6th Earl of Kellie. This innovative ensemble has steadily built a reputation for vital performances and imaginatively researched repertoire, much of it brought to modern attention for the first time.

Capturing the Scottish New Year celebration – Hogmanay, Ensemble Marsyas’ program will feature a collection of Old Scots Tunes interspersed with Traditional Baroque repertoire by Handel including his Concerto in F for 2 horns, a bold piece to begin the celebrations into 2020.
