Overview
Here the ensemble’s members place an early work by Beethovenalongside a relatively late one by Brahms: dating from 1795, thesecond trio from Beethoven’s official Opus 1 is particularly warm-hearted,while the Brahms work, written on holiday in Switzerland in1886, reveals the composer at his most intensely soulful.
