Overview
Debussy is placed among his contemporaries, including the neglected figure of composer, conductor, pianist and organist Gabriel Pierné (1863-1937), whose Nocturne en forme de valse, the second of 3 Pièces formant Suite de Concert, was published in 1920; and the advanced Graveyard from the Clairs de lune suite by the even more obscure organist and composer Abel Decaux (1869-1943), who published just this one set of pieces, dating from 1900-7.
