Overview

The Finnish cellist with a famously large and ever-expanding repertoire performs alongside an equally wide-ranging French pianist. Unusual in their programme is the work by the fascinating figure of Charles Koechlin (1867-1950). Chansons bretonnes is a collection of 12 pieces ‘sur des thèmes de l’ancien folklore’ dating from 1931-2 and dedicated to the French cellist Madeleine Monnier.

This concert is part of the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust ticket scheme, offering free tickets to those aged 8-25
