Overview

In a programme that characteristically includes many rare items from the Baroque period, arias from oratorios and other sacred works by lesser known figures such as Francisco António de Almeida (1702-55), Bartolomeo Nucci (fl1717-49), and Johann Joseph Fux (1660-1741) are included alongside those by such leading lights as Vivaldi and Handel.
